My Life Before Lake Forest:  I worked as an English Teacher in Seoul, South Korea before switching over to a career in Admissions.

One Word or Phrase to Describe Myself:  Passionate

Top 3 Reasons I Would Choose to Attend Lake Forest College:
1.  In addition to our many unique areas of study to choose from, students can take part in our independent scholar program which allows students to create their own major!
2.  Chicago. You will have access to everything this great city has to offer from the engaging internships and career opportunities to the Broadway musicals and award winning restaurants.
3.  With a 12:1 faculty: student ratio you’ll be working alongside top professors in the classroom and conducting independent research.

What Character Traits Do I Appreciate in an Applicant: Hard work and motivation. I’m looking for a student who is willing to take advantage of the Lake Forest community and its opportunities to get involved, learn, and work in a variety of settings.

What Makes the College Unique:  The College’s Center for Chicago works to integrate the plethora of resources the city of Chicago has to offer into the curriculum. The ‘Lake Forest College in the Loop’ program gives 40 students a chance to live, intern, and go to school in Chicago’s downtown.

Tip for the College Search: Know what you want out of a college, and ask the questions that pertain to your specific needs as a student. The school you choose is going to be your home for the next four years, make sure it has everything you need.

Hint for Success:  There is no substitute for hard work.

Favorite Activity in Chicago:  Going to North Avenue Beach around mid-August, the temperature is just right!

Favorite Place in the Town of Lake Forest:  Egg Harbor Café has the best breakfast food, and they serve it all day long!

A Fun Fact to Share:  I lived on a farm and raised sheep for a year… I much prefer city life!
