Transfer Student Academic Advising
Newly admitted transfer students are assigned a faculty advisor within their department or program to contact regarding academic advising. In order to be assigned an advisor, incoming transfer students must select a major at the time of application to the College.
Appointments are made before the start of the term with the faculty advisor to discuss which transferable courses apply toward the major and to register for classes. Both the faculty advisor and student must sign off on a student’s course registration. Registration and advising details are mailed to newly admitted transfer students before the start of the semester. Students entering in the spring semester meet with their faculty advisor during orientation while students entering in the fall semester make contact with their faculty advisor in July.
