Lake Forest, Ill. - Lake Forest College and the Center for Railroad Photography & Art will hold the 2009 national conference April 17-19 at Lake Forest College. This year’s program titled “Conversations about Photography” is a three-day event featuring renowned presenters, a photography exhibition, print sales, a discussion on publishing, book sales and signings, and social gatherings.
Presenters include established and emerging names in the field, as well as fresh perspectives from the art community. The lineup is comprised of photographer and author Don Sims, consultant Mark Hemphill, photographer Kevin Scanlon, George Eastman House curatorial associate Jamie Allen, fine art photographer Stuart Klipper,
Railfan & Railroad editor Steve Barry, filmmaker Kelly Lynch, and a joint presentation by
Trains publisher Kevin Keefe and photographer John B. Corns. A reception sponsored by
Trains and Classic Trains in the Glen Rowan House will include opportunities to purchase railroad art photography.
