Lake Forest, Ill. - Lake Forest College invites the community to a special Sunday evening concert featuring music for woodwind quintet by Chicago composers, performed by Quintet Attacca, ensemble-in-residence. This free performance will be held on Sunday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel. Please call 847-735-6170 for more information.

Woodwind Quintet No. 2 (1978)

Quintet Attacca, Grand Prize Winners of the 2002 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, is one of Chicago’s most dynamic chamber music ensembles. The quintet has played in venues across the Midwest, with extensive programming in Chicago. In the summer of 2003, the tour culminated with the quintet’s European debut as part of Italy’s Emilia Romagna Festival. During the 2004-2005 season, Quintet Attacca appeared on the Mostly Music series at Northeastern Illinois University, the Waukegan (IL) Chamber Music Society, and the Midwinter Music series. In January 2005 they made their New York debut on the Schneider Concerts Chamber Music Series at The New School.
