Scholarships - College of Lake County students

Lake Forest College and the College of Lake County enjoy a strong educational partnership. Each semester we enroll some of the best and brightest transfer students from CLC. In recognition of this relationship, we are proud to offer the following scholarship opportunities to CLC transfer students:

CLC Honors Scholars Program

Lake Forest College supports the CLC Honors Scholars Program by offering two full-tuition awards each school year to CLC Scholars with outstanding academic records and significant financial need. In addition to completing the application for admission and an on-campus interview, interested students must also complete the FAFSA and the LFAFA.

2-2 Science Scholar Program

The 2-2 Science Scholar program is available to students interested in majoring in the following disciplines:

  • Mathematics
  • Computer Science
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Neuroscience

Students must meet a prescribed curriculum and a required grade point average.  Interested students should plan to meet with a Lake Forest College faculty advisor.  Lake Forest will award a guaranteed Johnson Science Scholarship of $8,000 to each eligible student admitted to the College. This scholarship will be awarded in addition to either the PTK or the Illinois Scholarship (see below).

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship

Lake Forest College will award annual PTK scholarships of $15,000 to CLC students who are PTK members and who are offered admission to the College. Students must have, or will have earned, their Associate of Arts degree or 59 transferrable credit hours and hold current membership in Phi Theta Kappa prior to enrolling at Lake Forest College.

Illinois Scholarship

Lake Forest College will offer a $12,000 scholarship to every CLC student who is admitted to the College and who is a resident of the state of Illinois. (Please note that students cannot receive both the PTK and Illinois Scholarships).
