Lake Forest Swept by North Central and Benedictine
Lisa Sturgill becomes program's career leader in digs

LISLE, Ill. - The Forester volleyball team dropped a pair of decisions at Benedictine University on Saturday (September 13). Lake Forest fell 25-16, 25-13, 25-17 to North Central College and 25-15, 25-13, 25-14 to the hosts and are now 2-6 overall this season. North Central raised its mark to 8-2 and Benedictine to 5-6.

Senior Lisa Sturgill (Sheboygan, Wis./Sheboygan South) led the team in digs with 16 against North Central and 19 against Benedictine. She now has a program record 2,088 in her career - five more than Meghan Miller, who set the mark as a senior in 2005.

Senior Ashley Cretacci (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein) recorded a team-high 11 kills on the day, including seven against Benedictine. She also tied with freshman Mandi Mulliner (Elmhurst, Ill./York) for team-high honors in blocks with four.

The Foresters will play at Elmhurst College Thursday night (September 18) at 7:00 and will take on host North Park University (11:00 a.m.) and Loras College (1:30 p.m.) on Saturday (September 20).
