Ryann Freeman Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Sophomore ran 24:33 for six kilometers at NCAA Regional

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College cross country runner Ryann Freeman (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (November 20) for her performance at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional at Augustana College the previous Saturday (November 15).

Freeman, a sophomore, completed the 6-kilometer course in 24:33, the eighth-fastest 6K time in program history. She placed 110th out of 289 finishers in the race and ahead of all but seven runners from the nine Midwest Conference teams competing at the meet.

Freeman was the Foresters’ top finisher for the ninth time in as many meets this season. All six of her 6K times in 2008 rank among the top 25 in team history.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
