Summer Sessions > Costs

Summer School Tuition:
$2,860.00 per course (four semester hours credit), including internship credit. Independent studies and ACM Summer Programs are $4,016.00 per course credit (four semester hours credit). The fee to audit a course on campus (no credit awarded) is $400.00. Tuition is due in the Business Office by May 8 for Session I courses and by May 29 for Session II courses. The cost of textbooks is not included in fees listed above.

The College reserves the right to cancel registration and evict students from residence halls and the board plan if their accounts are in arrears.

Registration Deposit:
A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required by May 6 for courses starting May 13, and by May 27 for classes starting June 4. Lake Forest College reserves the right to cancel courses for which there is insufficient enrollment. Deposits are refunded only if admission is denied or a class is closed or canceled.

Housing and Meals:
Admission to summer school does not guarantee on-campus housing; a separate application for residence hall housing must be made to the Office of Residence Life. Contact ARAMARK at 847-735-5225 for information regarding summer meal plans.

Housing packages are available for $186 for Summer Session I, $372 for Summer Session II, and $558 for both sessions.

Meal packages are available for a charge of $240 for Summer Session I, $470 for Summer Session II, and $740 for both sessions. Daily meal rates are $5.00 for breakfast, $7.40 for lunch, and $7.40 for dinner.

The "Summer Meal Program" benefit allows each student who works a minimum of 25 hours per week to receive breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Monday-Friday, from Aramark at no cost to the student.  Other meal plans are available for students who work fewer hours; call ARA at 847-735-5225.

Students are required to pay housing and meal packages before Summer Sessions begin.
