This summer, the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) will again offer an eight-week online course, Calculus: A Modeling Approach, open to students enrolled at any ACM college, including Lake Forest College. The course is designed primarily for students in the natural sciences and social sciences who wish to apply quantitative modeling tools in their discipline.

The course enrollment will be capped at 20. A second section may be opened if there is sufficient student interest. The application deadline is March 31, 2014.

  • This course may be used to fulfill the GEC requirement in Natural and Mathematical Sciences.

  • It may also be used to satisfy the mathematics requirement for Business/Economics/Finance majors and for Biology majors.

  • However, it is not considered to be a substitute for MATH 110 and may not be used to fulfill the prerequisite for MATH 111.

For more information about the course, click here.

Tuition for the course will be $1725 ($1600 + $125 program fee). Lake Forest College financial aid does not apply.
