Aimed at talented middle school students, Lake Forest College's Project Explore is based on the idea that children learn best through experiences that are fun and tap into their natural curiosity.

We believe that many students have talents (sometimes not recognized) that can be developed and focused through a challenging and enriching program. Project Explore is such a program. We will use the resources of the great outdoors in June, when nearby parks and prairies are wonderfully attractive.

We will look beyond the beauty of nature to some of the scientific principles that help us to understand how the natural world works. By the end of the three-week program, students will gain a real sense of how science can be used to solve problems in the communities in which we live.
