Project Explore > Typical Day's Schedule

Summer is a time for play as well as work. Part of each day will be devoted to activities such as swimming (either at the Lake Forest Beach or in the College's Olympic-size pool), organized outdoor sports (under direction of Lake Forest College students), watching films, using computer simulations, playing games and enjoying beach BBQ's.


8:00 a.m. Breakfast in the College's cafeteria
9:00 a.m. Leave for field trip to a nearby natural site
9:00-11:00 a.m. Individual observations, small group discussions about discoveries, led by teachers and Lake Forest College students
11:30 a.m. Return to Lake Forest College
12:00 p.m. Lunch in the College's cafeteria
1:00-2:00 pm      Recreation Period - organized games or individual relaxation time.
2:30-4:00 p.m. Group discussions, work on projects in biology lab or computer lab, write up observations in lab journal, create projects
4:00-5:30 p.m. Recreation - swimming, volleyball, or just relaxation.
5:30 p.m. Dinner in the College's cafeteria
6:30 p.m. Evening activities
9:00 p.m. Go to Lake Forest College residence hall, get some well-deserved rest!
