The Lake Forest College Women’s Soccer Prospect Camp is for high school soccer players who want to experience what it takes both physically and mentally to play college soccer at a high level at one of the nation’s top liberal arts colleges.
What to expect
Camp training sessions, conducted by the Forester Women’s Soccer coaching staff, will replicate the training environment of the current Forester players. Under the direction of Head Coach T.R. Bell the Foresters have achieved considerable success. “The great aspect about the game of soccer is that it’s a players’ game and while we do work within a framework, my players are free to create and express themselves within those boundaries.” Players will leave with a solid understanding of this philosophy which has proven to generate an exciting and successful brand of soccer.
The Forester Women’s Soccer Prospect Camp will also preview other aspects of college life at Lake Forest. Participants will tour campus, explore the facilities, eat a meal in the dining hall, hear from the admissions and financial aid staff, and talk with current members of the soccer team and coaching staff. Participants will be well informed of all aspects of the college recruiting and decision process.
T.R. Bell, the winningest coach in Lake Forest College women’s soccer history and a 2009 inductee into the Forester Athletic Hall of Fame and his staff have led the Foresters to Three Midwest Conference Championships and Two NCAA Tournament Appearances. Named MWC Coach of the Year in 2003, 2004 and 2012 Bell’s teams have compiled a 178-116-10 overall and 113-37-6 record in league play while producing over 100 All-Midwest Conference players.
