At Lake Forest, students conduct the highest level of research and scientific discovery with professors who are experts in their fields.

Lake Forest is an ideal place for students who wish to pursue intellectual independence. Here, students come to learn, share their knowledge, find and explore their passions. Students regularly engage in dynamic, hands-on research, and one-on-one collaborative research with faculty.

Students have also presented their own research at national or international professional conferences.

The research opportunities available at Lake Forest - often unavailable to undergraduates at other schools - open the doors to graduate, professional, or medical schools or a coveted first research job.

Exceptional student work is recognized in a variety of ways at Lake Forest College, including not only the Student Symposium, and the Phi Beta Kappa Senior Thesis Award, but also through a variety of special awards and honors at graduation.
