Theater > Garrick Players

The Garrick Players are a completely student-run theater troupe who strive to produce shows that use experimental concepts and provocative subjects as a means for creating exciting experiences for their audiences. In the Spring semester of the 2008-2009 academic year, Garrick produced "The Gas Heart," a play by Tristan Tzara which explores the Dada art movement. Garrick often hires directors from the city of Chicago to develop students' relationships with theater professionals and give students experience in working with directors from the professional realm. Garrick's production of "The Gas Heart," was directed by Sean Graney, founder and artistic director of the award-winning Hypocrites Theater company. Students interested in any facet of theater are encouraged to contact the Garrick Players, as they are always looking to include more students in the tradition of excellent student-run theater.
