Independent Scholar
The Independent Scholar program allows students to enroll in the program by developing an academic major of their own, culminating in a thesis or a creative project working closely with a faculty advisor. This major is compatible with a student’s pursuit of a second major as well. Students with a high GPA are invited to apply and submit a detailed presentation of their case for admission into the program at the end of their sophomore year. The Independent Scholar program takes place during the junior and senior years. The Independent Scholar Committee determines admission.
