Department of Education > Illinois Content Area Standards for Educators

All candidates for teacher certification must complete a portfolio demonstrating that they meet all Content Area Standards for Educators from the Illinois State Board of Education. Details are provided in the department's Developmental Portfolio Handbook.

The following link from the Illinois State Board of Education website will take you to  Adobe Acrobat PDF files containing the standards and indicators in each content area.  You will need the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print them.
