This exhibit, presented collaboratively by the Departments of Art & Art History, Philosophy and the Ethics Center, presents posters from historical and contemporary boycott movements. The exhibit was created by the American Friends Service Committee and the Center for the Study of Political Graphics.
The 22nd Annual John and Katherine Covington Art Exhibition features work by Ivan Abreu, who has exhibited nationally in Mexico as well as internationally. His work addresses issues of surveillance, drug policy, national politics, border security and cooperation along the U.S.-Mexico border. This exhibition runs from October 1 until October 26.
The Betty Jane Schultz Hollender Professor of Art Emeritus, a renowned art critic and architectural writer, received the honorary degree on May 12 from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Schulze earned his Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts from SAIC in 1949 and 1950.
