Anna Trumbore Jones > Biographical Sketch

Anna Trumbore Jones studied history at the University of Chicago and University College London, where she developed her interest in medieval France.  She did her doctoral work at Columbia University in New York.  Her training included a year spent in France as a recipient of the French government's Bourse Chateaubriand en Sciences Sociales, during which time she did archival and manuscript research for her dissertation.  She joined the Lake Forest College faculty in the fall of 2003.  Her recent publications include several articles on the church in tenth-century France, as well as a co-edited volume entitled The Bishop Reformed: Studies in Episcopal Power and Culture in the Central Middle Ages (2007).
