My name is Dan McNabney; I'm a 2004 graduate of Lake Forest College.  I worked with Dr. Anne Houde in the fall of 2003 and summer of 2004 studying mate choice in the guppy (Poecilia reticulata).  I was also a member of the 2004 handball and rugby teams.  I applied for and recieved a research assistant position studying Australian galahs in Canberra, Australia, and I will be there from September 24th through December 6th.  I'll be working with Judith Scarl (a graduate student working under Dr. Jack Bradbury at Cornell University).  I plan on applying for admission to graduate school as a PhD candidate for the fall of 2005.  I've created this website as a running journal for the time I will be in Australia.  I'll update as often as possible (most likely weekly) with both pictures and good stories.  If you have any questions, comments or requests, email them to me at mcnabney25@yahoo.com.
