Table 3. Between-year Recaptures (pdf)
Between-year recaptures are birds captured at SWAMP in more than one year.  For each such bird, this table shows how many times the bird was captured in each year.  Notice that between-year recaptured birds are often caught multiple times within a given year.  We interpret this as an indication that these birds are not just passing though, but are holding breeding territories at SWAMP.  A high degree of fidelity to breeding sites is a well-known characteristic of many species of birds.
