Jason A. Cody > Biographical Sketch

Jason Cody, a graduate of the College of Wooster, earned his PhD degree from Northwestern University.  After teaching at Lake Forest College as a visiting assistant professor for a year (1995-1996), he spent a post-doctoral year in Nantes, France, on an NSF International Fellowship.  He returned to the college as an Assistant Professor in 1997.  He recently spent a sabbatical year back in Nantes where he studied new materials for solar cells.  He has served as chair of the department of chemistry since 2003.  His recent publications include “Solvothermal Synthesis and Structure of a New Selenium-Rich Selenophosphate K­3PSe4·2Se6Inorg. Chem., 2002, 41, 640-642 with an undergraduate coauthor, and “Syntheses and X-ray Diffraction, Photochemical, and Optical Characterization of Cu2SixSn1-xS3 (0.4<x<0.6) for Photovoltaic Applications” Inorg. Chem., 2007, 46, 1502-1506.
