Develop your resume to showcase your skills!

 If you do not yet have a resume or need to update one, follow these steps:

1. Review our resume and cover letter pages for important tips and samples

2. Drop-in to see a Peer Advisor during their office hours

3. Upload your resume and cover letter to the Online Career Center for approval

4. Schedule an individual advising appointment with a professional staff at the CAC by calling (847) 735-5235

 

It's time to be proactive! Once you have made a decision about the direction you would like to take with your major or career path, you can begin to look into gaining experience.

Recommended Action Steps!

• Conduct informational interviews using Lake Forest College's Alumni Network.

• Find job shadowing or volunteer opportunities on the Online Career Center.

• Gain professional experience through internships and experiential learning.

• Find a mentor through the Mentor Program.

• Join a student organization of your interest to build your leadership skills.

• Attend the Speed Networking event in the spring.

• Schedule an appointment with a professional staff in the CAC.
