Regulatory economist conducts analysis for banksJennifer wasn’t sure what she wanted to study when she came to Lake Forest College, but an Introduction to Economics class changed that. “The professors were great and I knew that it would be my major,” she says. The “icing on the cake,” she adds, came during Professor Robert Lemke’s Econometrics class, where she learned to apply statistical analysis to research.
After taking advantage of interview workshops and resume writing services in the Career Advancement Center, she landed at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, one of 12 across the country that serve as the bank for the U.S. government and regulate financial institutions.
