Celebrating 150 Years | Alumni Memories

It's a funny thing about an 80-year-old memory.  I can recall my days at Lake Forest College more clearly than I can remember what I had for breakfast.  But I do remember vividly my entrance interview with Bob Amaden in the fall of 1943.
 
He created a course of study for me that provided by Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. This was a first for Lake Forest College and for me. His resourcefulness and kindness helped me to achieve my dream.  Thanks to Bob and to my education, I've had a successful 20-year career as a nurse both in civilian and military service.
