Lake Forest, Ill.—The Garrick Players of Lake Forest College will present a modern adaptation of the seventeenth-century work, “The Revenger’s Tragedy” from February 26-28 at 8 p.m. nightly, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday. All shows will be held in the Allan Carr Theater in Hixon Hall on the College’s South Campus, near the intersection of Sheridan and Maplewood roads in Lake Forest.

Tickets for the performances are $7 for general admission, $3 for seniors and students. There will be a discussion with the actors following the Friday night performance. For reservations please call 847-735-5216.

“The Revenger’s Tragedy” twists murder, revenge, and comedy to form a plot so harrowing that it has gripped audiences for centuries. The bloody saga of Jacobean morality meets heavy metal from this contemporary perspective. Maggie Speer, the acclaimed Chicago director of the stage adaptations of “Reservoir Dogs” and “Pulp Fiction,” directs the play.

Lake Forest College is a private, liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The College has 1,300 students representing 46 states and 50 other countries.
