A Panel Discussion on the Implications Lake Forest, Ill.– On Thursday, April 1 Lake Forest College will host a panel discussion examining the present and future political situation in Taiwan in light of the recent elections. The panel presentation will take place at 4 p.m. in Meyer Auditorium in Hotchkiss Hall. The public is welcome to attend free of charge. For more information please call 847-735-6090. Professor Marc Moskowitz and Professor Rui Zhu, experts on Taiwan and China, will offer their insights into this potentially explosive situation and possible future developments. They will be joined by two other panelists: Professor Zhanliang Wu, a history professor of Taiwan University who is currently a visiting scholar at University of Chicago, and Philip Li ’07 a first-year student at Lake Forest College from Taiwan. Lake Forest College is a private, liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The College has 1,300 students representing 46 states and 50 other countries.
