Act III: The Ensemble
A Dramatic Interpretation of African-American History

Lake Forest, Ill.— In celebration of Black History Month the United Black Association at Lake Forest College presents "Acts III: The Ensemble" on Saturday, February 28th at 2 p.m. in McCormick Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. McCormick Auditorium is located in the Johnson Science Building on the College’s Middle Campus.

Acts III is an ensemble that will present a dramatic interpretation of African-American history from past to present through music, song, dance, and poetry in a short play called "Promises of Freedom." The purpose of this performance is to educate, inspire, and motivate people to learn more about African-American history and the role it has played in American history.

The event is sponsored by the United Black Association, Lake Forest College Speaker fund, the Office of Intercultural Relations, and the African-American Studies Department.

Lake Forest College is a private, liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The College has 1,300 students representing 46 states and 50 other countries.
