Kashmir: Is There a Solution?

Lake Forest, Ill.—Lake Forest College presents a lecture by Dr. Wassiullah Khan, chancellor of East-West University in Chicago, on Wednesday, November 5 at 7 p.m. The lecture is titled “Kashmir: Is There a Solution?” and will be held in Meyer Auditorium in Hotchkiss Hall on the College’s Middle Campus. The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information please contact 847-735-6010.

Khan, born in Pakistan, received a Ph.D. from Indiana University in Education Administration. Khan was one of seven founding members of East West University, which began holding classes in 1980. In an article published in The Chicago Tribune, Khan stated that the name was chosen to represent the unification of the East and the West, “The East is Africa and Asia; the West is the rest of the world.”

The lecture is sponsored by the College’s Muslim Students Association.

Lake Forest College is a private, liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The college has 1,330 students representing 46 states and 50 other countries.
