Lake Forest, Ill.—The Lake Forest College Garrick Players will open their 2003-04 season with Lucky Stiff, a musical comedy on Thursday, November 6 at 8 p.m. The play runs through November 15. Performances will be held Thursday, 11/6—Saturday, 11/8 and Thursday, 11/13—Saturday, 11/15 at 8 p.m. nightly with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturdays. The shows are held in the Allan Carr Theater in Hixon Hall on the College’s South Campus, near the intersection of Maplewood and Sheridan roads. Lucky Stiff was written by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, authors of Broadway hits Ragtime, and Once on this Island. In the farcical play, Harry Witherspoon must take his dead uncle around Monte Carlo for a week, or he will lose a six million dollar inheritance from his uncle. General admission tickets are $7 and $3 for seniors, children, students with a valid ID, and alumni of Lake Forest. There is no charge for Lake Forest College students, faculty and staff.
