New Student-Composed Electronic Music



Lake Forest, Ill.—Students taking a course in electronic music composition in the Music Department at Lake Forest College will present a concert of their works on Thursday, May 1 at 8 p.m. The concert, free and open to the public, will take place in the Coffehouse in the basement of Calvin Durand Hall (Commons) on the College’s Middle Campus, near the intersection of College and Sheridan roads. The concert features synthesized music created and recorded in the Nelson Electronic Music Studio during the spring semester of 2003.

Student composers include, Shay Ames, Miles Arnay, Jennifer Beal, Robbie Brown, Zac David, C.J. Desmond, Sayko Fujioka, Tohru Hayashi, Kevin Reed, Katie Siebert, Vince Tuley, and Brandon Williams.

Lake Forest College is a private, liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The college has 1,300 students representing 45 states and 43 other countries.
