Book Talk to Celebrate Earth Day Lake Forest, Ill.—In celebration of Earth Day William R. Jordan III, author of The Sunflower Forest: Ecological Restoration and the New Communion with Nature, will discuss his book at Lake Forest College on Tuesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. Jordan’s book talk will held in Meyer Auditorium, located in Hotchkiss Hall on the College’s Middle Campus. The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information please call 847-735-6010. Jordan is the co-editor of Restoration Ecology: A Synthetic Approach to Ecological Research (1987). He is the founding editor of the journal Ecological Restoration, as well as a founding member of the Society for Ecological Restoration. There will be a book signing following the talk. The event is co-sponsored by Lake Forest College and the League of Environmental Awareness and Protection. Lake Forest College is a private, liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The college has 1,300 students representing 45 states and 43 other countries.
