Lake Forest, Ill--The Lake Forest College Jazz Ensemble and Concert Band will be performing in a joint concert on Wednesday, February 26 at 7:30 P.M in the Lily Reid Holt Chapel, located on the College’s Middle Campus near the intersection of College and Sheridan Roads in Lake Forest. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information please call 847-735-6010. The Lake Forest Jazz Ensemble, under the Direction of Mitch Paliga, will be performing the music of Charles Mingus, Kenny Dorham and others. The Lake Forest College-Community Concert Band, under the direction of Debbie Knowles, will be performing a wide variety of music, including marches, jazz, and show tunes. A reception with the musicians will follow the performance. Lake Forest College is a private, liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The college has 1,300 students representing 45 states and 43 other countries.
