Lake Forest, Ill.-—Chicago-area pianists Harvey Stern and Olga Bornolova will perform a double recital at Lake Forest College on Sunday, February 9 at 3 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information please call 847-735-6010. Russian-born Bornolova earned her M.M. and Ph.D. in piano performance at the Gorsky Conservartory of Music. She has been on the faculty of the University of North Florida, and has toured internationally both as a soloist and as a member of the Amadeus Piano Trio. She is currently on the piano faculty at the Adler Institute of Music in Libertyville and is a music director at the United Presbyterian Church of Grayslake. Bornolova’s portion of the concert will include Chopin’s Fantasy in F Minor and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. Harvery Stern studied at the Long Island Conservatory and the Julliard School. He made his Carnegie Hall debut at the age of 10. An instructor at the David Adler Cultural Center in Libertyville, Stern has concertized and taught locally for more than four decades. Stern’s portion of the concert will include original compositions and jazz improvisations. The concert will be held in the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel, on the middle campus of the College, located at the intersection of College and Sheridan roads. A reception with the musicians will follow the performance. Lake Forest College is a private, liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The college has 1,300 students representing 45 states and 43 other countries.
