Biology Department Sponsors Lectures in Neuroscience Lake Forest, Ill.-—Lake Forest College will be hosting two public lectures in neuroscience on Thursday, December 5. The speakers will be Marjorie Ariano, Ph.D. Professor of Neuroscience at the Finch Chicago Medical School. She will present a lecture entitled “Huntington Disease: Can Transgenic Mouse Models Really Help Cure this Genetic Disease?” at 9:45 a.m. John Lee, M.D., Ph.D., Director of Neuroscience Research Program at Loyola University Medical Center, will present “Recent Advances in our Understanding of Alzheimer’s Disease” at 4:30 p.m. Both of the lectures will take place in Room 100 of the Johnson Science Building A located on the College’s Middle Campus. The students of “Biology of the Mind” and the Biology Department are sponsoring the lectures, which are free and open to the public. For more information call (847) 735-6010.
