Lake Forest, Ill.-–Lake Forest Lyrica, the highly-acclaimed series of chamber and choral music, will present the second concert of the season on Sunday, December 8 at 3 p.m. in Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel. The concert will feature the Wentworth Piano Duo, acclaimed by The New York Times as “a pluperfect pair” with “very few challengers near their level of technical excellence and musical responsibility.” The program, featuring works for one piano, four hands, includes compositions by Chopin, Schubert, Debussy, Mozart, and Gottcshalk. Jean and Kenneth Wentworth have performed widely in the United States and Canada, have given numerous concerts in England and on the European continent, and have made several tours of the Middle East and Far East. The Wentworths’ recordings of the four-hand literature, include the complete four-hand works of Mozart, the Czerny Concerto for Piano Four Hands and Orchestra, and several discs of contemporary music. As teachers, the Wentworths have been long associated with Sarah Lawrence College. Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel is located on the Middle campus of Lake Forest College, near the intersection of College and Sheridan Roads. A reception with the musicians will follow the performance.
