Lake Forest, Ill.—Distinguished Bulgarian sociologist, Dr. George Dimitrov, will present a public lecture at Lake Forest College on Monday, November 18 at 8 p.m. in Meyer Auditorium in Hotchkiss Hall on the College’s Middle Campus. The title of the lecture is “Bulgaria: A Country with the Ex-King as a Prime Minister and an Ex-Communist as President.” Dimitrov was the President of the Association for Social Investigations and Applied Research Practice from 1994-2000. He has published several works in the sociological field; his most recent publication is titled, The Contemporary Sociology: Crucified by its Tradition and Public Expectations. He is a professor at the University of Sofia in Bulgaria. The event is begin hosted by the College’s Friends of Bulgaria student organization. The lecture is free and open to the public.
