Fiction Writer Anne Calcagno to Speak at Lake Forest College


Lake Forest, Ill.—The public is invited to a book talk by fiction writer Anne Calcagno, on Wednesday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Lake Forest College. Calcagno’s talk will be held in Carnegie 300 on the College’s Middle Campus.

Calcagno is the winner of several literary awards including: the San Francisco Foundation Phelan Literary Award; and the Foreword’s Silver Medal for Best Travel Book of the Year for her book, Travelers Tales: Italy. In addition, she has been given Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Illinois Arts Council for stories from her collection, Pray For Yourself. Her works have appeared in The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The North American Review, American Fiction, and American Fiction of the Eighties.
