Lake Forest, Ill. – Lance Olsen, novelist, short-story writer, critic, and reviewer will read and discuss his work in Meyer Auditorium at Lake Forest College on Thursday, October 17 at 7 pm. The event is free and open to the public. Olsen has written dozens of fiction novels, as well as essays, short fiction, and reviews. One of his most acclaimed works, Tonguing the Zeitgeist, is a finalist for the Philip K. Dick Award, an award given to an outstanding work of science fiction published in the United States. Olsen, a Pushcart Prize recipient and a Fulbright Scholar, served as professor of English and creative writing for ten years at the University of Idaho. His works have been published in numerous journals and anthologies, including the Iowa Review and Time Out New York. Meyer Auditorium is located in Hotchkiss Hall on the College’s Middle Campus.
