Lake Forest, Ill—Lake Forest College Department of Music will present its fall concert on Friday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Lily Reid Hold Memorial Chapel on the campus of Lake Forest College, located at the intersection of College and Sheridan Roads in Lake Forest. The concert is free and open to the public. A reception will follow the performance. For more information please call (847) 735-5169. The Lake Forest College Chorus and A Cappella Ensemble, under the direction of Professor Kirk-Evan Billet, will celebrate the centenary of one of American musical theatre's foremost composers, Richard Rodgers. The program will include several infrequently heard songs from 1940's "Pal Joey." The Lake Forest College Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Jamie Schmidt, will perform Haydn’s Symphony No. 104 ("London"). Lake Forest College is a private liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The College has 1,300 students representing 45 states and 43 other countries.
