Lake Forest, Ill – Lake Forest College will present a violin and piano recital on Monday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. featuring violinist Romulo Assis and pianist Shirley Trissel. The duo will perform music by Arvo Part, Richard Strauss, Ludwig van Beethoven, J.S. Bach and Maurice Ravel. The performance will be held at Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel on the campus of Lake Forest College, College and Sheridan Roads in Lake Forest. Violinist Romulo Assis, a native of Portugal, has performed solo recitals and chamber music in Portugal, Spain, Brazil and the United States. He has recorded the Tchaikovsky and Paganini violin concertos for Portuguese Classical Radio. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, please call (847)735-5169.
