Lake Forest, Ill – Voices of the World, Lake Forest College’s gospel choir is celebrating its third year in existence with its annual spring concert entitled "Worthy To Be Praised!" on Friday, April 19 at 7:30p.m. in the Lily Reid Memorial Chapel, located at the intersection of College and Sheridan Roads in Lake Forest. The choir will be performing selected works from Youthful Praise, Kirk Franklin and the Family, and many others. The special guest choir will be the Interfaith Chorale of Benedictine University. Voices of the World is a student-led organization that brings together students as well as members of the community in celebration of gospel music. Founded in 1999, by Timothy L. Woods ’01 and Kamalisha White ’02, Voices of the World, under the leadership of Gregory Larnell ’04 and Oluwakemi Abiona ’02, has continued to grow stronger in their mission to bring together people form many diverse backgrounds to spread the gospel through gospel music. The choir has fellowshipped all throughout the suburban Chicago community. The gospel choir wholehearted invites anyone who loves gospel music and shares their same vision to join the choir in worship. Lake Forest College is a private liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The College has 1,250 students representing 44 states and 41 other countries.
