Lake Forest, Ill – The Lake Forest College and Community Band, directed by James Ramey, will present a musical trip around the world on Thursday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m.. The performance will be held in Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel on the Middle Campus of Lake Forest College at the intersection of College and Sheridan roads in Lake Forest. Featured works will include "The English Folk Song Suite" by Ralph Vaughan Williams, "Prelude to Khovantchina" by Modest Moussorgsky, the overture "Light Cavalry" by Von Suppe, and music from Around the World in 80 Days. The concert is free and open to the public. A reception with the musicians will follow the performance. For more information please call (847)735-5169.
