Lake Forest Lyrica Presents the Amelia Piano Trio



Lake Forest, Ill – Lake Forest Lyrica, the highly acclaimed series of chamber and choral music will present its third concert of the season on Sunday, March 3 at 3 p.m., featuring the Amelia Piano Trio.

The trio, consisting of Anthea Kreston, violin, Jason Duckles, cello and Jonathan Yates, piano, will perform the "Ghost" Trio in D Major op. 70 #1 by Ludwig van Beethoven, Trio in B flat, D. 898 by Franz Schubert, and the world premiere of Rami Levin's "Flights of Fancy" written specifically for them.

Formed in 1997, the Amelia Piano Trio was recently honored as the Grand Prize Winner of the 2001 Yellow Springs National Chamber Music Competition and as a finalist for the Naumberg Foundation Chamber Music Award. The ensemble has performed in Carnegie Hall, at the Dame Myra Hess concert series in Chicago, the Green Lake Music Festival in Wisconsin, as Trio-in-Residence at the La Jolla, California Summerfest, and at Tanglewood, where they were invited by Yo Yo Ma to participate in his Silk Road Project. They were recently appointed Trio-in-Residence at Weber State University.


The concert will take place at Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel, on the campus of Lake Forest College, located at the intersection of College and Sheridan Roads in Lake Forest. A reception with the musicians will follow the performance. Tickets are available to the public for $15 at the door. For students with ID tickets are $5.
