The 2001 opening of Miller Park, is the culmination of a 10-year mission for Selig-Prieb and the realization of her vision of the ultimate entertainment experience. She is a member of the task force for The Commissioner’s Initiative on Women and Baseball, and has been a driving force in efforts to bring more families out to the game. Under her leadership, the Brewers have rededicated themselves to the community, supporting charities, activities, and programs serving youth and the underprivileged throughout the state of Wisconsin.

As the daughter of former Brewers owner Allan "Bud" Selig, the current Commissioner of baseball, Selig-Prieb grew up at the ballpark, learning the game and the business of baseball. A life-long fan of the game, she went to work for the Brewers in 1982 after graduating magna cum laude from Tufts University. Taking a hiatus from baseball, Selig-Prieb went back to school earning a JD from Marquette University Law School, graduating magna cum laude. After working as a corporate lawyer for two years, she rejoined the Brewers in 1990, serving as the team’s general counsel. In 1998, she was named President and CEO.

The annual Albert Blake Dick Lecture is provided through the generosity of the A.B. Dick Endowment. The endowment is designed to encourage and stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit within the campus
community. This spirit marked the life of Albert B. Dick, who served as a member of the College’s
Board of Trustees for 17 years. Michael H. Ebner, a member of the College’s faculty since 1974, is the A.B. Dick Professor of History.
