COMPUTER CONSULTANT PROVIDES TECHNOLOGY EXPERTISE
ROBBIE BURDA, CLASS OF 2006

As a computer science major, Robbie received instruction from faculty like Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science Joe Hummel, who also develops curriculum materials and conducts workshops nationwide that keep faculty colleagues informed of the latest concepts in computer technology. “The professors are great, and I loved the small class sizes,” Robbie says. “You can work more closely with professors and develop relationships with them, which helps in the classroom.”


Lake Forest College students are taught by faculty who are experts in their fields.


He took classes like Data Structures, Programming Languages, and Compiler Design, in which he learned programming concepts and gained hands on experience working with faculty experts in the classroom. After graduation, he had the computer programming skills needed to get a job as a computer consultant with CSC. In his role as a consultant, he provides technology solutions for companies in the health insurance, financial services, pharmaceutical, and mobile devices industries.
