Assistant Professor of Economics and Business

The Department of Economics and Business invites applications for one tenure-track position at the assistant professor level, beginning Fall 2010.  The position requires a Ph.D. in economics or evidence that all Ph.D. requirements will be completed by Fall 2010.  Successful applicants will be able to teach macro theory courses and upper-level electives.  Located in a Chicago suburb near the Lake Michigan shore, Lake Forest College is a highly selective liberal arts college with about 1,400 students from over 45 states and 65 countries.  At Lake Forest College, the quality of a faculty member's teaching is the most important criterion for evaluation.  Active engagement in peer-reviewed research is also expected, and service to the college is valued by the community.  Lake Forest College embraces diversity and encourages applications from women and other members of historically underrepresented groups.
