Accreditation
Lake Forest College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.  The most recent accreditation process was completed in 2006-2007.  The teacher education programs are accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education.  A copy of the documents if required may be requested from:

Athletic Program Participation
Lake Forest College complies with the requirements of the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) by completing an annual report of participation rates, financial support and other information on men's and women's intercollegiate athletic programs. The report is available on the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Postsecondary Education Web site.

Campus Security Report
The Public Safety department publishes a report annually that discloses relevant information about campus security policies and crime statistics.  This report also covers drug and alcohol abuse prevention and prevention of sexual assault.

Diversity of Enrollment
In the Fall of 2008, enrollment of all full-time undergraduate students was 1,363 as reported to NCES.  Of these, 59% were female and 41% were male.  5.1% were Black, non-Hispanic; 0.3% American Indian/Alaska Native; 4.4% Asian/Pacific Islander; 5.5% Hispanic; 74.8% White, non-Hispanic; and 9.8% Nonresident alien.

Diversity of Pell Recipients
Federal Pell Grant recipients comprised 25% of the matriculated undergraduate student body in the Fall of 2008.  Of these 58% were female and 42% were male.  30% of the Pell recipients self-identified themselves as members of a racial or ethnic minority.

Emergency Response and Evacuation
Emergency Response and Evacuation procedures are located within the Lake Forest College Crisis Management Plan.  The Crisis Management Plan provides a framework by which the College can effectively and efficiently respond to and manage emergencies, from simple to complex, which may affect its operations.

The College maintains a specific plan intended to deal with reports of a missing student.  Contained in the Office of Student Affairs Emergency Protocols manual, procedure 9.1 provides a framework by which the College will respond to a concern when a student’s whereabouts is reportedly unknown.

Retention of first-time, full-time, degree seeking undergraduates for those students entering Fall of 2007 was 74%.
